MAP HELP
The Orlando Skyscrapers Interactive Satellite Map is powered by Google™ Maps software and integrated using the Google™ Maps API. Below are some hints on how to navigate around the map:
Draggable Navigation
You can use your mouse by holding down the mouse button to drag the Map, or use the directional arrows in the upper left corner to pan left, right, up and down to see areas that are hidden off screen. Clicking the "center" pan button will return you to the center of the current area of interest you are viewing.
Zoom
You can adjust your current viewing altitude by adjusting your Zoom level using the Zoom Slider located on the left side of the Map. Also, double-clicking your mouse within the Map will Zoom-In one level, as will right-button double-clicking Zoom-Out one level.
View Modes
There are 3 view modes available when viewing the Map. The default view mode is the Satellite View. Selecting "Street Map" in the upper right of the Map will show a Street Map style view, while selecting "Overlay" will overlay the Street Map view upon the Satellite view.
Building Location Push-Pins
Every Building with valid location coordinates in the Orlando Skyscrapers database is displayed in the Map via a color coded Push-Pin corresponding to the Building's current status (Completed, Under Construction, Proposed, Cancelled). Clicking on these Push-Pins displays an information bubble for the Building. Clicking the "view details" link within this bubble will display the Building Details Page of the selected Building in the main Orlando Skyscrapers browser window.
Displaying Push-Pins
Push-Pins may be made visible and invisible by selecting the color coded toggle switches, each corresponding to a Building Status Level. In addition, the "All On" and "All Off" buttons will turn all Building Push-Pins On and Off respectively.
Go-To Navigation
Selecting a "Go-To" Navigation link will take you instantly to an area of interest in the Orlando Area (i.e. Downtown, Attractions Area, etc...). The Orlando Area Boundary Map displays how the Orlando area has been segmented and divided.
