330 E. CENTRAL PROJECT DEFERRED INDEFINITELY
04.03.2007
After multiple postponed presentations to the Municipal Planning Board, it has been reported that Baker Barrios has informed the City of Orlando: "We formerly request to defer 330 East Central until further notice."
The proposed residential hi-rise located next to The Waverly has met with much opposition from residents in the area over many issues such as view obstruction and traffic relating to its proximity to the under construction Publix and condos on the corner of Lake Ave and Central Blvd.
The project got off to a shaky start concerning a boundary dispute with the bordering Waverly condo (read more), and has been on the Municipal Planning Board (MPB) agenda many times, but repeatedly postponed. The following is a history of the Florida Income Group's (the project's developer) application process to the MPB:
- November MPB meeting – FIG Postpones Application until January
- December MPB meeting – Not on agenda
- January MPB meeting - FIG Postpones Application
- February MPB meeting - FIG Postpones Application
- March MPB meeting – FIG Postpones Application at meeting just before agenda item.
- April MPB meeting – Postponed Indefinitely
